Early Intervention Programme for Infant & Children (EIPIC)
" My child is very young but now diagnosed with disability. What should I do?"

An EIPIC is a centre-based programme that provides social, educational and rehabilitative services specifically for children aged 0 to 6 years diagnosed by a medical doctor/psychologist to be at risk of having a handicapping condition or special need that will affect his or her development.            
            
Community Integration Support Programme
"My child has normal intelligence even though he/she has some physical disabilities."

Community Integration Support Programmes provide therapy and educational assistance to children with physical disabilities of normal intelligience to integrate them in mainstream education from nursert/kindergarten to secondary levels.             
            
Special Education (SPED) Schools
"I want to enrol my child in a school buy my child suffers from some disabilities."

Special Education covers a range of specialised teaching programmes in SPED Schools which cater to children with autism, or intellectual, sensory, physical or Multiple Disabilities. SPED schools are operated by voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs), with the support of the Ministry of Education and the National Council of Social Service.

Vocational Training and Placement
"My child is intellectually disabled, but I want him/her to be trained so that he/she can be channeled for some forms of employment in the future."

Vocational Training prepares and equips persons with disabilities for employment.  Trainees will be able to perform work functions best suited to their abilities, after receiving the training. Persons with disabilities could, for example, be instructed and supervised on food preparation procedures to prepare and equip them to work as chefs.
            
Training and Development Centre (TDC)
"My child is intellectually disabled, but I want him to be trained to take care of his own daily activities & hygiene."

A Day Training Programme for intellectually disabled persons with lower functioning ability, 18 years and above.  The emphasis is placed on self-help, home management and social skills to promote independent living.             
            
Day Activity Centre (DAC)
"I need to work to provide financially for the family, but I am worried about leaving my disabled child at home."

The Day Activity Centre provides daily programme to nurture self-help skills in the disabled persons (aged 16 and above) with low functioning skills to be as independent and self sufficient.  The programme will help them progress onto workshop or even open employment as far as possible.  The DAC offers simple tasks training and training in social skills and activities for daily living.             
            
Homes for Persons with Disability
"There is no one who can take care of me and I am suffering from some disabilities."

The Residential Home for adults with disabilities is an institution that provides long-term residential care to persons with disabilities who are either destitute, neglected or whose caregivers are incapable of caring for them.The Home also provides short-term respite care service for families who, for various reasons, are unable to provide the care for their dependants with disabilities for a short period. The Homes in Singapore aim to maximise the ability in a person with disability through therapy, training and recreational activities.            
            
Sports &  Recreation
"I suffer from some physical disabilities but would like to learn some sports."

These activities promote health and well-being through physical training/activities that provides opportunities for social interaction and positive learning experiences.
